The Story of संपातिः (Sampaati) starts from 4-56-1 and goes on till 4-63-13. संपातिः, the old Eagle, unable to fly as its wings were burned by the heat of the Sun’s rays. By helping Vaanara Sena by providing valuable information during the search for Sita Maa, संपातिः gets back his wings and flies again.
Sage निशाकर (Nishaakara) says though he can solve his problem by giving him the ability to fly immediately it won’t solve the purpose. He says संपातिः has to wait as he has a big deed to complete. ” ‘That deed aimed at the wellbeing of both those princes, Rama and Lakshmana, and of Brahmans, teaches, sages and also of Indra is to be done by you alone, isn’t it! [4-62-14].” This afflatus or divine inspiration is the reason Sampaati says to carry on even near the deepest agony. Ref [4-63-3] to [4-63-5].
After regaining his valor, vigor, and valiance were prevailing in his youth after helping the Vaanaras with the information to help in Sita Maa’s search संपातिः says “Let an endeavor be made by all of you. For sure, you will come by Seetha. This event of my regaining wings shall be the causer of credibility in you all… [4-63-12b, 13a]“.
Saying so संपातिः lifted and flew again into the sky while the Vaanaras heartily gladdened and became proactive in their tasks again.
This I shared as it is from Valmiki Ramayan (4-56-1 to 4-63-13) so that people especially the youth who are dejected or in agony will be helped and cured by living up to the mission of Lord Rama. The corollary is that any other activities against that Lord Raam can potentially create diseases, disorder, and dejection both in individuals and in society.
