This is Gita Book Press version of Mahabharata, by Shriman Maharshi Vedavyas.  This post contains Hindi explanation translated to English.  This post covers all six Khandas.  

 The first column to be interpreted as Parva-Upaparva-Adhyaya.  

धर्मे चार्थे च कामे च मोक्षे च भरतर्षभ।

ಭರತರ್ಷಭ ಧರ್ಮ, ಅರ್ಥ, ಕಾಮ ಮತ್ತು ಮೋಕ್ಷಗಳ ಕುರಿತು ಇದರಲ್ಲಿ ಏನಿವೆಯೋ ಅವು ಎಲ್ಲೆಡೆಯಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇವೆ. ಆದರೆ ಇಲ್ಲಿ ಇಲ್ಲದಿದ್ದದ್ದು ಎಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಇಲ್ಲ. 
Oh King, what is said here about duty, wealth, desire & salvation here (in Mahabharata) is present everywhere else but what is not presented here (in Mahabharata) is nowhere else.

Gita Book Press Khanda (Book) The 18 Parvas of the Mahabharata:
Khanda I  1. Adi Parva (The Book of the Beginning): This foundational book introduces the lineage of the Bharatas, the birth and early lives of the Kuru princes (Pandavas and Kauravas), and sets the stage for the epic conflict.
2. Sabha Parva (The Book of the Assembly Hall): This parva describes the construction of the magnificent assembly hall by Maya Danava, Yudhishthira's Rajasuya sacrifice, and the fateful dice game that leads to the Pandavas' exile.
Khanda II  3. Vana Parva (The Book of the Forest) / Aranyaka Parva: This section covers the twelve years of the Pandavas' exile in the forest, their struggles, spiritual lessons, and various encounters.
4. Virata Parva (The Book of Virata): This book details the Pandavas' thirteenth year of exile, spent incognito in the court of King Virata.
Khanda III 5. Udyoga Parva (The Book of the Effort): This parva narrates the preparations for the war and the intense diplomatic efforts made to prevent it, which ultimately fail.
6. Bhishma Parva (The Book of Bhishma): This is the first book of the actual war, covering the initial ten days with Bhishma as the Kaurava commander. It famously includes the Bhagavad Gita.
Khanda IV 7. Drona Parva (The Book of Drona): The war continues with Drona as the Kaurava commander. This is a major book of the war, marked by intense battles and the demise of many great warriors.
8. Karna Parva (The Book of Karna): This parva focuses on Karna's leadership of the Kaurava army and the fierce combat between him and Arjuna.
9. Shalya Parva (The Book of Shalya): This section details the final days of the war, with Shalya as the Kaurava commander, and culminates in the mace duel between Bhima and Duryodhana.
10. Sauptika Parva (The Book of the Sleeping Warriors): This parva describes Ashwatthama's vengeful night raid on the Pandava camp, resulting in the massacre of sleeping warriors.
11. Stri Parva (The Book of the Women): This book primarily focuses on the lamentations of the women of both the Kaurava and Pandava families over the fallen warriors, and Gandhari's curse on Krishna.
Khanda V 12. Shanti Parva (The Book of Peace): This is one of the longest parvas, detailing Yudhishthira's profound grief and Bhishma's extensive discourse on various aspects of dharma, kingship, and liberation while lying on his bed of arrows.
Khanda VI 13. Anushasana Parva (The Book of Instructions): This parva continues Bhishma's instructions on dharma, including ethical conduct, duties of different classes, and various religious observations.
14. Ashvamedhika Parva (The Book of the Horse Sacrifice): This section narrates Yudhishthira's performance of the Ashvamedha Yajna to purify the kingdom and consolidate his rule, along with Arjuna's adventures guarding the sacrificial horse.
15. Ashramavasika Parva (The Book of the Hermitage): This parva describes the later years of Dhritarashtra, Gandhari, Kunti, and Vidura, as they retire to the forest to live a life of asceticism.
16. Mausala Parva (The Book of the Maces): This book narrates the tragic destruction of the Vrishni (Yadava) clan, including Krishna and Balarama, through an internal conflict involving maces.
17. Mahaprasthanika Parva (The Book of the Great Journey): This parva describes the Pandavas' final journey and their renunciation of the world as they walk towards the Himalayas, heading for the celestial abode.
18. Svargarohana Parva (The Book of the Ascent to Heaven): The concluding book narrates Yudhishthira's final test and the Pandavas' ascent to heaven, where they are reunited with their family and loved ones.
