There are numerous activities that we carry on. However every activity is good PROVIDED it doesn’t build arrogance but rather builds humility.
Using power of compounding with one simple method, one can become rich. In fact rich people formula is only that. However its futile growth if that drowns the humility, makes lose the sense & builds arrogance. Even using 10 simple interest method one cannot grow rich even if he spends 16 hours toiling day & night. But the intangible benefit he is getting is it’s building humility, drowns arrogance builds personality as required as per the society & religion.
The below video from Old Ramayan serial, Guru Vashisht says his own teachings to pupils can build arrogance (अहंकार) in them due to new knowledge. Now you can imagine in modern world probably how many ways a pupil can lose humility & build arrogance!
Knowledge gives ability to acquire beyond “what’s required to sustain ourselves”. Due to less in enlightenment few take that path which Lord Krishna says it’s demonic to grow viral our materialistic possessions in Chapter 16 of Bhagavad Gita.
“This has been gained by me today; I shall acquire this desired object. This is in hand; again, this wealth also will come to me.”

There are 2 options to overcome that cancerous thought. One by visiting/viewing various Spiritual websites. Other by seeing “people in need” videos & praying for them.
Yesterday I watched on YouTube “adx florence supermax prison”. There is definite reason why some are there in prisons; agreed. But they have not seen even a the photo of Gods of Hindu Temples or have these photos to stuck on prison walls so that faith can improve staring at them so that they can slowly turn back to at least as better prisoners. The prisoners don’t have mental ability for all that themselves either. So people outside instead of chewing chips, resting on bean bag couch & watching TV/Browsing randomly for hours with some liquid bottle near by; instead should pray for those people in need and who themselves don’t have knowledge what path to take so that God blesses them with wisdom & show them some way out or at least alleviate their physical & mental strains.
न देवा यष्टिमादाय रक्षन्ति पशुपालवत्।
यं तु रक्षितुमिच्छन्ति बुद्ध्या संविभजन्ति तम्॥05-035-033॥
ದೇವತೆಗಳು ದಂಡವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದು ಪಶುಪಾಲಕರಂತೆ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಯಾರನ್ನು ಅವರು ರಕ್ಷಿಸಲು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಾರೋ ಅವರಲ್ಲಿ ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನು ಹುಟ್ಟಿಸುತ್ತಾರೆ.Gods do not hold the rod and protect like shepherds. God instills wisdom in whomever He wishes to protect.
